No Way Walmart: No Gas on the Bike Trail
Blinking light

Help Protect the Rail Trail

On peak Saturday traffic, 982 cars an hour will cross the intersection of south Maple St. and the Norwottuck Rail trail. That's one car every 3.6 seconds. This isn't safe for riders. The developer says that blinking lights are enough to keep our children safe. We need you to keep the Rail Trail safe.

Help make our demands heard:

A bike tunnel under South Maple St.
A fence separating the parking lot from the rail trail
A pedestrian crossing at Rt. 9 and N. Maple streets.
Removal of one S. Maple street entrance to Hampshire Mall

Boycott

Sign the petition stating that you won't shop at the Hampshire mall unless they change their project design to protect the Rail Trail. The petition is coming soon!

Volunteer

Hand out fliers to people on the rail trail. People will volunteer for one-hour shifts at the rail trail, handing out information materials, giving away stickers and conducting other out reach tasks. Don't let them say that you don't care.

You can download the flyer here. (PDF ; ~1 MB)

Stickers are available too. (JPG)

Demonstrate: Join the 10,000!
